And don't worry I am going to explain these in very simple words. because once when i was at the phase of opting a law course I was very confused and there was non of the blogs which could clarify my doubts. So here's a blog which I am creating for all of you clarifying your doubts as a fresher.


Courses under Law
first of all, there various courses available under a law college such as :-
  1. B.A.LL.B
  2. B.COM.LLB
  3. BBA.LLB
  4. LL.B
  5. LL.M 
these are the degrees available under a law college and the eligibility of each degree might vary from one another but these lead to the same law career as an advocate. Also it depends on the college as which courses among these it provides. the first three courses are dual degree and the other two are single degree.

  1. B.A.LL.B stands for bachelors in Arts and bachelors in laws (its a dual degree of 5 years course)
  2. B.COM.LLB stands for bachelors in Commerce and bachelors in laws ( its a dual degree of 5 years course).
  3. BBA.LLB stands for Bachelors in business Administration and bachelors in Laws ( its a dual degree of 5 years course).
  4. LL.B stands for Bachelors in Laws ( its a single degree of 3 years course).
  5. LL.M stand for Masters in Laws (its a masters degree of 2 years).

Eligibility Criteria

  • Any student opting for law course soon after 12th STD has the option to choose only B.A.LLB  or  B.COM.LLB  or  BBA.LLB of 5 years course.                                                                                      
  • Any student who have already completed any bachelors degree such as B.A or B.COM or BB.A or B.SC or B.CA or any other bachelors degree from a non Law college can directly apply for LL.B degree of 3 years course. Even if he/she wishes then they can also apply for B.A.LL.B / B.COM.LLB / BBA.LLB of 5 years course.                                                                                               
  • Any student who has completed any of these law courses such as LL.B or B.A.LL.B or B.COM.LL.B or BBA.LL.B from a recognized Law college is eligible for Applying for LL.M which is usually of 2 years course.
Further eligibility criteria regarding marks and percentage varies from types of courses and depends upon the college.



Examination.

In India CLAT  (Common Law Admission Test ) is the national level exam for admissions in law college. through the CLAT entrance exam you can get through any law colleges in India.
