How to study entire syllabus within an hour or two?

Yes!  you are at the right place looking up for tricks and tips to study entire syllabus at once because in this blog I am not going to tell you to set an alarm or record yourself while studying, but instead I am going to tell you how to remember the subject matter within an hour or two!

step 1:  take out the syllabus or portion of the subject you are studying.

step 2:  within 5 minutes try to remember the names of all the chapters under the subject which will be there for your exam.

(because in order to learn the subject u need to know what the subject includes, it will be easy for you to classify what sort of information in the subject relates to which chapter.  Sometimes you know the information but you don't know under which question it falls.)

step 3:  Now open YouTube and type any one of those chapter name and look any one YouTube video relating to the that chapter at 2x speed (or any speed that you prefer). Now do this same thing with each chapter one by one from your syllabus until you finish all.  this whole thing should finish within 30 minutes if you watch it in 2x speed. time might differ little according to the number of chapter you have and the speed you chose to watch each video.

( pro tip, do not watch the entire video with details...the reason I told you to watch it at 2x speed is because you should only have to glance and listen the video just to get a brief and basic idea of what each chapter talks about and not everything in detail)

step 4:  Now without looking say the all chapter names under that subject and say what each chapter talks about in general.

(pro tip, you may either explain this to any of your younger sibling or your parents or look at the mirror and explain or record yourself while explaining in general. its your choice.

tada!! now your at the stage where you know all the basics of each chapter of an entire subject.

Step 5:  Now take a notebook and write down what are the head topics which each chapter includes. For example one chapter may include head topics such as 'nature of that topic' and 'characteristics of that topic' and 'merit and demerits of the topic'.  Similarly other chapter might include two topics and does not include merits or demerits of that topic just definitions maybe. And therefore each chapter will differ from each other and so you need to write each chapters topic name and head topic and sub topic names only in a nutshell in your notebook.

Step 6:-  Now open your textbook and YouTube or any site which you prefer for studies. Now open the notebook where you wrote the nutshell and from there take one chapter, one of the topic of that chapter and start studying in details and tick each head topics and sub topics which you finish studying.

Step 7:-   Try to study in the form of story, or make mnemonics to remember the topic well but do not byheart it. Its absolutely okay to write the exam in your own word on what you understand by that question or topic. If you byheart words you might forget or get mixed up with the answers and end up getting 0 marks. But if you write exam in your own word but the concept is clear than you will definitely get marks for your answer.

Step 8:-  After studying take previous question paper of that subject, if you are answering in 2024 than take previous question paper of that subject of at least 5 years, that is question paper of 2023, 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019. Now lay all previous 5 question papers on the table  and check which are the 10 common questions in all 5 papers. study very nicely those 10 question which are common in all 5 question paper, because among those 10 common questions at least 6 are sure question to come in your upcoming exam.

( however its not necessary that those sure questions might come for your upcoming exam but however it may help you to at least pass in exam, it depends).

If you follow those 7 steps above you can finish an entire subject roughly in 2 hours.

FAQ:

How to study quickly one day before exam?

Its very important to know at least the basics of each topic of the subject that you are studying because knowing something is better than knowing nothing about a topic that will be asked in exam. You can always use YouTube or google to know the basics of your topic first, before jumping to your textbooks, this helps you know the overall of what each topic talks about. Take help of mnemonics and make nutshell after studying each topic, this helps you to quickly memorize what all you studied.
